“For the regular people”

We often forget about the “regular people'' in this world. I mean regular people, just like you and me. Are we all that regular? We get hung-up on what a famous person did today, how they broke up with so and so, what they wear, where they went. How politicians are the cause of all disasters (not that far off). But what about the regular people who are doing meaningful things? The regular people who are running a bakery, selling handmade rugs, coffee, or even being a taxidermist. Are their lives not as interesting and important to our culture as a 1hr long tv show of people figuring out who’s hotter than who?

This project was created to show the extraordinary things that “regular” people can do. I chose to follow a family of beekeepers who harvest and sell honey products. This project is about the people who put in work every day. The people who started from scratch and clawed their way up to where they are now. From being in the field taking care of the bees, extracting honey, or to hanging out in the shop where products get shipped out. This project is to honor the regular people who make unique impacts on the world.
